ABOUT OUR STAFF
Tami Gilley
Tami is the club's manager and founder. She handles everything from
ordering uniforms, to collecting payments, and tournament scheduling.
Tami has been involved with volleyball for around eight years in many
ways - volleyball parent, coach, camp director, and club manager.
Doug Durkee
Doug is one of the club's co-founders and has over 20 years of
coaching experience. For the last 11 years he has coached girls'
volleyball. Doug is the head volleyball coach for St. Francis Episcopal
Day School, runs the Lakeside Volleyball Camps, and is the training
coach for the Chapelwood 5th-7th grade teams. He is in his fifth year
coaching for Hazard and is the club's player recruiter.
Shelly Burke
Shelly is a co-founder of HHVC and has over 14 years of volleyball
experience including both playing and coaching. She played for Conroe
High School, receiving many district honors. She played club volleyball
for six years before becoming an outside hitter for San Jac. Shelly has
experience in all hitting positions, defense, and setting. This is Shelly's
eighth year to coach club volleyball and her fifth year with Hazard.
Chelsea Makowsky
Chelsea has been around volleyball for most of her life. She played at
Conroe High School where she received several district honors.
Chelsea was also involved in club volleyball for six years. During her
junior year, her club team placed 3rd at Nationals. She went on to play
in college at Northwestern State. Chelsea has experience in all hitting
positions, defense, and setting. This is her fourth year with Hazard.
Lori Rektorik
Lori played at Jersey Village and then the University of Incarnate Word.
She played club volleyball for five years, and was Chelsea's team mate
on the 3rd place team at Nationals. She has experience at all positions
but played mainly middle and right side. Lori had five years coaching
club prior to joining up with Hazard, where she is beginning her second
season.
Courtney Ellisor-Marlow
Hazard would like to welcome Courtney to the organization! She played
club volleyball for six years and at Deer Park High School where she
was named "Rookie of the Year" in 2001 and First Team All-District
and Defensive MVP in 2002. Following a super high school career,
Courtney went on to play four years at McNeese State University in
Lake Charles, LA.
Stefanie Conner
Hazard would like to welcome Stefanie to The Club! Her volleyball
career began at Humble School. After a successful high school career,
Stefanie went on to play Libero at San Jacinto Jr. College and Texas
Lutheran University. She also coached at Centax for a few seasons.
This season Stefanie will be coaching the 16s and floating.
